Blogging FAQ

How often should I blog?

Blogging is most effective when you are producing quality content on a regular basis. While publishing more often can help you grow your audience faster, what’s more important is keeping up a blogging rate that you can maintain. If you can only manage to publish one blog post a month, that’s completely acceptable—put it up on the same day each month. If you can manage two a month or one a week, that’s even better!

How long should my blog post be?

realistically, that’s a terrible answer when you’re trying to create the perfect blog post for your audience. So, here are some more number-driven guidelines:

Your blog post should be longer than 300 words. Most publications and blogs aim for a post between 500 and 1,000 words. If you are writing on a complex topic or covering a lot of information 1,000+ words is completely OK. But don’t add content just to make your blog post longer, and don’t stop writing valuable content because your post is “too long.”
